Membership Types Explained
Regular Member
Those eligible for regular membership are current and retired public elementary or secondary personnel (local education agency LEA or state education agency SEA) OR private (non-state supported) elementary or secondary personnel whose area of responsibility is the supervision or oversight of dual language education including both Two-Way and One-Way programs.
Associate Member
Those eligible for associate membership include current and retired educators from the following:
a) individuals from post-secondary institutions, public or private, with responsibility for dual language education;
b) representatives of national or state professional organizations that are advocates for dual language education from the United States and other countries;
c) representatives of national, state, or local dual language publications, dual language related commercial vendors;
d) individuals who are full-time professional dual language education consultants;
e) individuals who support language education through organizations that provide technical assistance via international bilateral cooperation.
